I’ve been living in New York for just shy of a year now. Up until this weekend, I’ve spent my time exploring cities of Manhattan and Brooklyn, but I hadn’t really ventured out to the waterfront despite the fact that New York is surrounded by water. When my friend Daphnee invited me to join her on a boat party, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to have a great time as well as to see the city from a different perspective.
We sailed on a yacht hosted by with Hudson’s at Pier 81. It was a three level boat with three bars, comfy couches, and two outdoor areas on board. The space felt very luxurious!
We sailed between New York City and Jersey City, so there were great views of both skylines.
We also sailed right by the Statue of Liberty! I had seen her before from the shore, but I had never been so close. By this time, the sun had began to set so it really was a beautiful sight to see.
If you’re ever in New York, I highly recommend seeing the city from the water. I had a great time and the views were amazing! I’m so glad that I got to experience it – New York is filled with so many things to do and I love exploring my city in as many ways as I can!
